The Guides
The "Skiführer" course is offered by the national academy of sports in Innsbruck (Tirol), the education is focused on practical and theoretical training in avalanche know-how, rock climbing in winter conditions, rope safeguarding, alpine rescue techniques, cravasse rescue, avalanche rescue techniques, risc management, alpine behavoir, alpine leadership and ice climbing.
This education seems to be a solid base, even more important might be long time experience and daily sight of the quickly changing conditions. Good education alone, won´t make a good guide. What makes a good guide is is receptivity for his guest´s wishes, the feel for his guest´s ski skills and overall shape. We try hard to make a good job and to offer our guests some unforgettable experiences.

All our guides are either "Berg und Skiführer" (internationally certified mountain-guide) or "Staatlicher Skilehrer und Skiführer" ( fully qualified austrian ski-instructor and winter-mountain-guide). Austria seems to be the only country where mountain-guides and ski-instructors can share this great education - the "Skiführer".
