Offpiste.at stands for Freeride Guiding in Austria.

Freeriding, is somehow a step back to the beginning of alpine skiing. In the old days when our grandfarthers started skiing, there was no grooming of the slopes, no crowded pistes, no noise and no hustle and bustle

If you leave the pistes behind you, you will find yourself in a different world - its just you and nature. What you hear is not the sound of the modern skiing civilisation but your own breathing. The beauty of virgin snow - drawing the first line in untouched powder just as if you were floatiing on the big white - all this is more than delighting it´s a natural high.

Still, there are some achievements of modern times that we do not want to miss - we use the lifts to get to the backcountry. Sometimes we do a short hike, often we hit the powder right away, starting from the top station of the lift. We gladly use the modern freeide skis as they make off piste skiing much easier.

Powder rookies are just as welcome as experienced powder cracks, skiers as well as snowboarders.

Programm  :

Our offer Freeride Guiding is adressed to those who have gained some experience in powder.  About 90 percent of our guests choose this offer. Some just have a bit of experience in powder, some have been tought by us how to ride off piste. Some you could call powder cracks without a doubt. They have been travelling the world to follow their passion. They appreciate the countless options our region has to offer, which makes it quite easy for us guides to find untracked powder.

For those that have no or little experience off piste we offer Piste to Powder. Gently we approach the backcountry step by step. The rookies can expect lots of hints concerning their technique, alpine behavior and safety equipement.

Last but not least : the classic Skitour. Those who are willing to walk and enjoy the alpine nature will be rewarded with some unforgetable impressions.
